In 2015, people across our community put their trust in me to become the first SNP Member of Parliament for Glasgow South West – one of a record number of SNP MPs elected to be a strong voice for Scotland.   I was again returned as Member of Parliament for the area in 2017.

I’ve been one of the most active MPs at Westminster – speaking out on local and global issues.

As your MP I have acted in our constituency and Scotland’s best interests, doing all I can to prevent a disastrous no-deal Brexit and Scotland being dragged out of the European Union against our will.

I have also campaigned against harmful welfare cuts, voted against Tory austerity and I’ve made the case for fair pensions for older people, more investment in public services, and support for our schools, universities, and creative communities.

Working closely with local MSP Humza Yousaf, I have supported many of our fantastic local charities and community groups with support letters and Parliamentary motions.

I have also worked locally to increase Pension Credit Take Up, fight against G51 Parking Charges and securing funding for many local organisations.

I tried to remain visible and accessible by operating a drop in office and holding eleven regular monthly drop-in surgeries.

In 2019, I hope the people of Glasgow South West will put their trust in me again to continue to represent them both locally and at Westminster.
